Few seem to realize that the remote frontier town of Verona is a horrifying place to live. From the eccentric Capulets and their circle of socialites to the working-class gang of misfits who call themselves Montagues, resources are scarce and the terror of the unknown lurks just at the edge of the lantern-light.
Plagued by strange dreams and a growing sense of dread, two kindred spirits lost in the same sea of violence find connection and a flicker of happiness. Through their star-crossed romance we will explore how terror leads to hatred, how hope leads to courage, and how the bonds of love and fate alike can overpower anything.
This year’s Shakespeare in Ten is set to be our most exciting iteration yet! Now with some added time to memorize lines before the ten days begin for an extra bit of sanity, we can’t wait to embark on our latest theatrical journey.
