Dear friends of Somniterum –
Since we last wrote, we’ve been working closely with our directors to establish the next steps of our current projects and our company as a whole. After a great deal of careful consideration, we can now announce that Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead and Romeo and Juliet have both been postponed indefinitely. This year’s Shakespeare in Ten show has also been canceled.
We have high hopes that all three of these projects will return in 2021 as part of Somniterum’s next season, but given the current state of uncertainty in our community we unfortunately cannot be more specific than this. Rest assured, however, that as soon as it is safe and logistically feasible to do so, we will be back with more audacious theater! In the meantime, we encourage all of you to stay healthy and well. We also invite you to join us in wholeheartedly supporting the Black Lives Matter movement in whatever way is best for you.
